Beagle Orthopaedic at BAPO Conference – Wigan
We were delighted to exhibit at the BAPO Regional Conference in Wigan on Friday, 16th May 2025, an important date in the prosthetics and orthotics calendar. Organised by the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO), the event brought together a diverse community of professionals, students, and organisations from across the UK.
As always, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and celebrate the ongoing innovation and progress shaping our industry.
Beagle Orthopaedic was proudly represented on the stand by our North West Sales Executive, Beth Pickles and Custom Fabrication Technical Director, Andy Dewsbury. They were joined by Sales and Marketing Directors Kelly Halsall and Managing Director Len Lloyd to support the team and engage with delegates.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone, discussing clinical challenges, and showcasing some of the latest developments from our product range. Thank you to BAPO for hosting such a well-organised and inspiring event. We look forward to the next one!
Showcasing Innovation at Beagle Orthopaedic
At the Conference, we were proud to showcase a selection of innovative products from our extensive range, designed to support clinicians and enhance patient outcomes. From practical solutions for complex clinical challenges to time-saving adaptations, our stand highlighted the capabilities of both our standard product offering and our in-house Custom Fabrication division.
A major highlight was the high level of interest in our CCD Lever, which attracted attention from many orthotists. This innovative accessory is part of the ORLAU Ankle Contracture Device, manufactured by our Custom Fabrication team. The CCD Lever Kit attaches to the Contracture Correction Device to assist with donning and doffing, improving ease of use in clinical settings. We had many engaging conversations about its application and benefits, with several delegates requesting further information and demonstrations.
Also generating strong interest was the Darco AllRound Shoe with custom adaptations, particularly due to its efficient, streamlined design. Delegates were impressed by how it combines stock footwear with custom components, such as sockets, backstops, and BK irons, into a single, integrated solution. As a one-stop-shop product, it offers clinical effectiveness and logistical simplicity.
The Darco AllRound Shoe can be expertly adapted to suit a variety of clinical needs, including post-operative care, wound management, and specialist offloading. All modifications are carried out in-house by our experienced Custom Fabrication team, ensuring fast turnaround times, high-quality results, and confidence in both fit and function.

A Warm Welcome for the Theracore Range
We were thrilled to unveil our brand-new Theracore range at the BAPO Regional Conference, an exciting addition to our portfolio of orthopaedic supports designed with both patients and practitioners in mind.
The Theracore range was met with an overwhelmingly positive response, particularly for its sustainable features and thoughtful, patient-centred design. Visitors were especially enthusiastic about the Theracore Knee Wrap, which stood out for its combination of comfort, support, and eco-conscious materials.
One design detail that drew significant attention was the use of sleek black fabric, offering a modern and discreet alternative to the more traditional NHS beige. This refreshing update was a hit among attendees, who appreciated its clean, contemporary look without compromising functionality or clinical effectiveness.
With sustainability and patient comfort at the forefront, the Theracore range represents our commitment to innovative, responsible, and stylish orthopaedic solutions. Stay tuned for more product updates and availability information coming soon.
A Valuable Day of Connection and Learning
Beyond showcasing our products, BAPO 2025 in Wigan was a fantastic opportunity to speak with clinicians and students about their experiences, needs, and hopes for the future of P&O. These conversations are invaluable in helping us shape the direction of our development and ensure that what we create continues to meet the evolving demands of practice.
We also thoroughly enjoyed connecting with students from P&O programmes around the country – the next generation of practitioners. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were inspiring, and we’re proud to be part of a profession that continues to innovate and grow.
Looking Ahead
Events like BAPO are always a highlight in our calendar, giving us the chance to engage with the wider P&O community, showcase our latest innovations, and gather valuable feedback. We’re grateful to everyone who visited our stand and took the time to chat.
A big thank you to the BAPO team for organising another successful event – we’re already looking forward to the next one!
