The Cast Hinges have a proven ROM hinge that is easy to set flexion and extension whilst on a patient.  The anti-tamper screw allows you to lock out the hinge at the desired setting.

Made in the UK: The Cast Hinges are designed and manufactured in Lancashire by Beagle Manufacturing.

A starter pack kit option BCH/ST2, is available. The starter pack contains 6 Cast Hinges, Alignment Jig, Tool kit and a pack of 12 Cast Hinge Headplates. To order the Cast hinges and accessories pack, please contact our customer services team.

An innovative concept in the conservative treatment of fractures

Functional cast bracing is a mode of immobilisation for the upper and lower limbs. Immobilising the fracture but enabling the joints to flex and extend. This type of cast allows for early mobilisation of the fracture, yet allows micro motion to aid healing and increase blood flow to soft tissue muscle and the fracture site.
Prof. Sarmiento has conclusively proved that this mode of mobilisation improved healing and patients’ ability to be ambulant earlier than other modes of conventional casts.

  Functional casting bracing for immobilisation of the upper and lower limb
