Beagle is excited to announce that we are the exclusive commercial distributor of the Ankle Contracture Correction Device (CCD) Lever kit.
Beagle were chosen to help bring this innovative CCD lever kit to the commercial market
Recognised for our expertise and experience in the custom-made devices market, we have been chosen to be the commercial distributor of the Ankle CCD Lever Kit.
Our dedicated Custom Fabrication division is fully equipped to integrate the Ankle CCD Lever Kit into our fabricated AFOs, resulting in the creation of the ORLAU Ankle Contracture Device.
Upon completion of the ORLAU Orthotic Management of Contractures training course the Lever kit can also be purchased direct from Beagle.
What is and how do I access the training course?
The training course is designed to educate technicians and clinicians on the setup, assembly, and application of the kit of parts, along with providing ‘best practice’ tips for assembly and rehabilitation.
The next training date is Tuesday 2 October 2024, at The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY10 7AG.
Experience the ultimate Contracture Correction Device with the innovative Ankle CCD Lever Kit
Traditional ankle CCDs, which stretch lower limb soft tissues, can be difficult to put on and take off (donning and doffing). However, ORLAU partnered with Ricoh 3D to develop an ankle CCD lever kit that helps with this process. This attachable accessory temporarily disconnects the stretching torque.
The device features a 3D printed lever made with Nylon-12 using Multi Jet Fusion technology. The innovative lever design, developed by ORLAU, applies compression to a gas spring, which then applies tension to the patient’s lower limb for rehabilitation. Compared to traditional tension tools, the integrated design of the lever enhances the user experience.
The lever not only improves ergonomics and the process of donning and doffing, but also facilitates the application of stretching torque during rehabilitation. Its design allows for semi-automatic locking in the operating position without additional tools, making it simple and easy to use for patients and caregivers.
