The paediatric Standard Hip Abduction Splint from Orthomerica is a standard hip abduction brace, which maintains the concentric reduction of hips in infants with hip dysplasia. A one piece, non-adjustable polypropylene orthosis that holds the infant in 90° hip flexion and 60° abduction.
The lightweight splint can replace spica casts and harnesses for certain developmental dysplasia patients and has more total contact than a pavlik harness. Indicated for infants and young children with subluxed hips or to prevent subluxation and dislocation.
Indications for use:
- Provides immobilisation following Hip Dysplasia
