Full Description
The Push Ortho AFO is an Ankle Foot Orthosis that lifts the foot during the swing phase, controls the plantar flexion after heel strike and allows unimpeded rolling of the foot. In addition, the orthosis offers lateral stability to the ankle joint. During the stance phase, the orthosis allows flexion and extension in the ankle joint. The result is an efficient and natural gait.
The AFO features adjustable elastic straps, allowing for the degree of dynamic foot lift during the swing phase to be determined according to the individual needs of the user. On heel strike, the restraining function of the elastic straps ensures a well-controlled plantar flexion. This innovative construction can be used with light footwear.
To measure, place the foot at a 90° angle in relation to the lower leg and measure the circumference around the heel and the instep of the foot.
Indications for use:
-
CVA -
Hernia -
Multiple sclerosis -
Postpolio syndrome -
Muscular dystrophy -
Spinal cord injury -
Polyneuropathy -
Loss of control of the ankle dorsiflexors during swinging phase and during loading response (heel strike / flat foot)
Features and benefits:
-
Features its own fixing strap system -
Can be worn with light footwear including slippers -
The orthosis offers lateral stability to the ankle joint -
Allow flexion and extension in the ankle joint during stance phase for an efficient and natural gait
