Description
The Tibial Fracture Kit from Orthomerica is a prefabricated functional orthosis designed for Diaphyseal fractures, a ‘PTB’ type design provides hydraulic compression. The brace allows movement of the adjacent knee and ankle joints to increase vascularity and encourage callus formation.
It is a lightweight construction made from a durable thermoplastic that can be trimmed with scissors and modified with a heat gun. The Posterior opening facilities tibial alignment, whilst the adjustable Velcro® straps allow for oedema. The shoe insert allows for dorsiflexion and plantarflexion but limits inversion and eversion.
The kit includes: a functional brace tibial section, one single axis shoe insert and two fracture socks.
Indications for use:
» Diaphyseal fractures of the tibia and fibula
