The Wound Care Shoe (WCS®) from Darco is specifically designed to support the treatment of open and closed ulcerations, patients with diabetic foot syndrome, and other wound care requirements requiring targeted weight redistribution. Its innovative four-layer, multi-density insole system allows for customisable comfort and provides essential offloading that relieves pressure on sensitive areas. A soft Plastazote lining covers the interior, protecting lesions and other wounds while maintaining a smooth, seamless surface.
 
The WCS® features a physiologically correct rocker sole, assisting natural ambulation to promote a balanced gait. A convenient marker on the outsole helps ensure a precise fit and long, adjustable straps provide flexibility to accommodate a range of bandages or dressings. For cases where additional pressure relief is necessary, the upper material can be modified, with the wide opening enabling easy foot insertion and ample space for bulky dressings. The closed-cell liner is ultrasoft, seamless, and easy to disinfect, contributing to patient comfort and hygiene.
 
The WCS® is engineered with stability and durability in mind. The stable heel cap secures the foot, and the exchangeable four-layer insole system includes materials of varying hardness, each colour-coded for easy identification. Sold in pairs, the WCS® also comes with a processing kit containing a marker, measuring template, and disposable scalpel for precise insole customisation, making it an adaptable and effective choice for wound care and offloading therapy.

The WCS® Wound Care Shoe from DARCO is recommended for the treatment of open and closed ulcerations and other conditions of the foot where it is desirable to redistribute weight away from specific areas.

Four multi-density insoles allow the patient great comfort and flexibility when off-loading is the preferred method of treatment. The soft Plastazote lining covers and protects lesions and other wounds. The rocker sole aids in ambulation. A marker on the outsole aids in the proper fitting of patients.

The long adjustable straps accommodate a wide range of bandages and dressings and provide easy entry, the upper may be cut away to further relieve pressure if needed.

Wound Care Shoes are sold in pairs.
