TheraCore

The new shape of comfort and sustainability.

TheraCore® where Quality meets responsibility

High-performance orthopaedic solutions should never compromise environmental integrity. Our material philosophy builds on four core pillars aligned with the NHS Net Zero framework: Clinical Excellence, Product Durability, Ethical Sourcing, and a Transparent Carbon Transition.

We invest heavily in automated infrastructure. This delivers a resilient, low-carbon medical device supply chain made in the UK.

Precision Engineering

Our Lancashire facility drives high-yield manufacturing. We are on a journey toward zero waste. We pair digital transformation with automation. Our CNC and laser-cutting technologies maximise material efficiency. This drastically reduces production off-cuts. Looking ahead, we are developing circular workflows. We will fully repurpose all remaining production scraps.

Low-Energy Production

We run dedicated, low-emission machinery. This equipment is configured specifically to slash operational power consumption. It ensures our British-made orthopaedic materials remain lean, highly effective, and environmentally responsible.

TheraCore® advanced material technology

The future of medical soft goods relies on zero-compromise engineering. TheraCore® technology bridges the gap between premium patient comfort, clinical performance, and total environmental compliance.
Engineered for uncompromised patient safety and skin integrity, the entire range is 100% free from PFAS, Lycra, latex, and neoprene. This ultra-lightweight, high-density structure provides essential clinical traction and targeted structural support without the restrictive bulk of traditional materials, proactively protecting sensitive, post-injury skin.

TheraCore®: Breathable & antibacterial protection

An eco-friendly, medical-grade alternative to traditional orthopaedic textiles, engineered for high-performance supports.

  • Advanced Skin Integrity: A 100% breathable, high-density foam core paired with a soft cotton liner. This open-cell structure prevents heat buildup and moisture accumulation.
  • Premium Durability: A resilient outer textile layer built to withstand long-term clinical wear while maintaining a premium touch.
  • Thermy-Tex Hygiene: Treated with an advanced dual-action Thermy-Tex finish. It actively intercepts bacterial growth for long-lasting anti-odour protection and rapid sweat absorption.

TheraCore® VA: Integrated hook-receptive technology

A specialised variant made for clinical flexibility, sharing the exact antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties of standard TheraCore®.

  • A-Lok Technology: Features a fully hook-receptive outer face that transforms the entire exterior surface into a secure loop fastening surface.
  • Variable Alignment: Allows compression straps and fastening tabs to lock down precisely anywhere on the material, eliminating the need for sewn-on loop strips.
  • Adjustable Compression: Adaptable across a full range of orthopaedic soft goods to deliver targeted anatomical compression and joint support.

Reducing carbon in the healthcare supply chain

TheraCore® protects patient skin. It directly supports the NHS Net Zero roadmap. Traditional synthetics like neoprene rely on high-pollution manufacturing. TheraCore® utilises a low-carbon production process instead. This minimises environmental impact without compromising clinical efficacy.

  • Carbon reduction: Requires less processing energy than standard plastics. Lowers Scope 3 emissions for clinical buyers.
UK supply resilience: Sourced and manufactured entirely within the UK. Eliminates long-haul international freight. Secures local product availability.
  • Meets strict environmental compliance standards. Maintain excellent orthopaedic patient care.

Sustainability, carbon footprint reduction, and quality compliance

We manufacture TheraCore® and TheraCore® VA using low-energy processes that reduce Scope 3 carbon emissions. Their long product life minimises clinical waste and supports a resilient supply chain. Every medical device we make meets strict regulatory standards to ensure patient safety.
  • ISO 13485 & MDR certification: Our quality management system is fully certified to ISO 13485 standards.
  • CE marked: All products carry valid CE marks and conform to European Union Medical Device Regulations (EU MDR).
  • MHRA & UK MDR 2002 alignment: We meet all MHRA guidelines and UK Medical Device Regulations 2002 to guarantee an uninterrupted product supply.

This compliance ensures safe, reliable, and effective products for clinicians and NHS procurement teams.

Aligned with the NHS Net Zero roadmap

We support the Greener NHS initiative and carbon reduction targets. We remove single-use plastics from our shipping networks and engineer low-impact materials like TheraCore®. This lowers greenhouse gas emissions across our entire supply chain.
We help NHS Trusts meet their Scope 3 carbon reduction goals. We achieve this by delivering carbon-reduced, fully compliant orthopaedic devices nationwide.
