Beagle Orthopaedic exhibited at the BAPO Regional Conference 2023 in Farnborough on Saturday 18th November
Following the success of the Regional Conference in Scotland in June, BAPO held a second regional meeting in the South East.
The theme of the conference was ‘Growing The Profession’ and the event was targeted at P & O professionals and the wider P & O community. BAPO is the only UK body that represents the interests of prosthetic and orthotic professionals and associate members to all groups that are involved in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.
The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) was established to encourage high standards of prosthetic and orthotic practice. Committed to continued professional development and education, BAPO aim to enhance the standards of prosthetic and orthotic care.
John Cox, our Area Sales Manager for the South Coast, exhibited at the conference. We showcased our new Breg Spinal Range and it was great opportunity for attendees to find out more about Breg and Joint Operations, try on the spinal braces and ask any questions they had.
The programme commenced at 11:00am and concluded at 4:00pm. A busy agenda provided guests the opportunity to enhance knowledge, support continuing professional development, network with colleagues and engage with exhibitors in a face to face environment.
Throughout the day, there was an impressive range of speakers who spoke about a wide range of P & O related topics.
Dr Gillian Rawlinson addressed the challenges and opportunities in educating the prosthetists and orthotists of the future and innovation in practice based learning. Clinical Lead Orthotist, Clara Bailey, discussed Therapeutic Footwear and the need for Continuing Professional Development.
Speakers also included Professor Fausto Panizzolo, 4th year P & O student at the University of Strathclyde Dominique Somerville, Orthotics Associate Practitioner Anushika Dayananda and many more!
The Regional Conference concluded with an award for the best free paper presented to Dr Nicky Eddison presented by Beth Foreman.
