Our latest Spinal Educational Day was held at the beautiful Castleknock hotel in Dublin.
Our first Educational Spinal meeting of 2024 was held in Dublin on Friday 1st March. With two clinical presentations from Consultant Spinal Surgeon Dan D’Aquino and Michelle Elmsley – Regional Spinal Cord Injury Clinical Lead followed by Gary Bledsoe, Vice President of Research & Development at Breg discussing the design principles around the Breg spinal line.
Nestled on picturesque grounds just outside Dublin, Castleknock Hotel provides a gateway to the surroundings of Phoenix Park and the northern banks of the river Liffey. With its great location close to the city of Dublin and Airport it was the perfect setting for our event.
Our event started with a wonderful and relaxed evening meal on Thursday with our guests at the award-winning dining facilities at the hotel. This allowed us to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new ones.
After a full breakfast on Friday, the day started in the Thinking Factory meeting room with an introduction from our Sales Manager for Ireland Andrew Padmore who ran through the agenda for the day. The action-packed morning began with clinical presentations from Consultant Spinal Surgeon Dan D’Aquino and Michelle Elmsley – Regional Spinal Cord Injury Clinical Lead. Before our final presentation of the morning by Gary Bledsoe who was video calling from Texas, US, the Beagle team had the opportunity to run through the Breg Pinnacle Collar and Pinnacle TLSO 464 design features. Gary Bledsoe, Vice President – Research & Development for Breg concluded the morning with an excellent presentation on the design principles and features around the full Breg spinal range and the thinking behind it. After lunch, it was time for our guests to try the Breg range for themselves. We split the guests into two groups, one for the Collars and CTO and the other for the TLSO’s, the Beagle team were on hand to help demonstrate and answer all questions regarding the fitting of the product and the design features and principles learned from Gary’s presentation earlier in the day.
